- SOLIDWORKS Visualize Boost
- Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) accelerated rendering
SOLIDWORKS Visualize is hardware-agnostic and can utilize one or more GPUs on a single machine or across a network, which greatly improves rendering performance on CPU hardware.
Rendering with NVIDIA® graphics cards is much faster than with other CPU technologies and can help speed up your daily workflow to produce more content. This feature in itself can significantly speed up the design and engineering process.
SOLIDWORKS Visualize performs faster on all hardware, including entry-level laptops (with the new fast rendering mode).
SOLIDWORKS Visualize also leverages NVIDIA's new GPU technologies, such as NVIDIA Quadro® VCA, for linear increases in rendering speed, resulting in a more efficient and productive 3D visualization experience.
In addition to utilizing one or more GPUs or CPUs, SOLIDWORKS Visualize can use both GPUs and CPUs on a single computer or across a network, which can significantly improve rendering performance. This rendering mode allows entry-level computers to get a performance boost to generate content faster.
- Physically based ray tracing
Using the NVIDIA Iray® rendering engine inside SOLIDWORKS Visualize, you can see a physically accurate representation of the CAD model as if the product were actually machined.
Lighting, materials and shapes come together realistically without sacrificing visual quality or taking shortcuts to increase rendering speed.
Physically-based ray tracing brings more than just beautiful images, its digital accuracy shows how a design really looks.
SOLIDWORKS Visualize allows you to work as if you were in a photography studio, moving the camera around to easily "take pictures" of its CAD data. The SOLIDWORKS Visualize user interface (UI) with integrated viewports and omitting complex node materials is designed with the needs of users who don't have the time to learn about complex new tools in mind. SOLIDWORKS Visualize's UI can be further simplified into five buttons at the bottom of the screen in easy mode. This mode is designed for users without a 3D background who need easy visualization tools. Experience new sub-tabs in the palette, simplified Import and Render windows, and more. You can now also choose between dark and light themes.
- CAD Live updates and graphics file support
Graphic file support: SOLIDWORKS Visualize can import 25 different CAD file types, including common common formats such as IGES, STEP, and OBJ. SOLIDWORKS Visualize output includes JPG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, HDR, and PSD.
CAD Live Updates: Are you already working on your Visualize file and need to import some design changes? As your design evolves, you simply save on top of the existing file and Visualize will only update the parts that have changed. Visualize even remembers if you changed a color and keeps that change on newly updated parts. You can always relink the file if the name changes or the location moves.
Separate parts, surfaces and faces with the convenient integrated part divider. Easily separate geometry to apply different materials or textures. There is no need to go back to your CAD package to make this change.
- Interactive depth of field
Add more realism to your Visualize content with depth of field. This feature allows you to click on the model to interactively select the focal point, and then adjust the desired amount of bokeh. You can even enter physical camera settings like f-stop and aperture size.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) Denoiser
Using artificial intelligence, just checking a box interprets and removes noise from your renders, dramatically increasing render speeds by up to 10x on average!
- NVIDIA MDL and PBR advanced material support
Existing databases of tested materials can be reused directly in Visualize by scanning real-world materials and importing them via MDL or PBR appearance types. Browse the online library of materials and textures and easily recreate them in Visualize using these new industry-standard appearance types.
- Stickers (Interactive Stickers)
Easily place logos, graphics, and more with easy-to-use stickers. SOLIDWORKS CAD supports all decal mapping types, and now you can choose from multiple mapping modes directly in Visualize, giving you more flexibility and control.
- Customize keyboard shortcuts
Create unique custom keyboard shortcuts to save time based on your personal preferences, then export the list to load on another machine. You can even choose single key shortcuts! Greatly speed up the use of Visualize.
If your session terminates unexpectedly, you can restore autosaved data the next time you start your session. You can specify the frequency and folder in which to save the auto-recovered data.
- XR Exporter for AR/VR Experiences
Easily export Visualize projects to new file formats (.glb and .glTF) for immersive downstream augmented and virtual reality experiences
- High resolution support (4K monitors and higher)
The dynamic user interface is scalable to support high-resolution displays.
